ABOUT THE CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Scott Anderson is the CEO and clinical director of Addiction Recovery care of Tampa, a licensed outpatient treatment facility specializing in substance abuse and mental health since 2000. Mr. Anderson has uniquely extensive experience providing substance abuse and mental health treatment to a diverse variety of populations including children, adults and geriatric clients, spanning over 23yrs. Mr. Anderson also has extensive education and training in the areas of psychology, education, substance abuse and mental health, qualifying him as an expert in his field. Mr. Anderson has utilized his superior training and knowledge base to create state of the art treatment concepts and program milieu for this facility, that are far more effective than the vast majority of treatment programs offered today. These traditional treatment programs rely on antiquated information and treatment techniques that are often times ineffective at best. Mr. Anderson's extensive credentialing includes; an associate degree, a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in sociology, Master's in rehabilitation and mental health counseling, including passing a post graduate competency exam in the areas of study, which were considered some of the best in the state of Florida. Mr. Anderson has the highest credentialing for a mental health therapist in the state of Florida and practices as a licensed Psychotherapist/ L.M.H.C. In addition to his state license, Mr. Anderson is Florida board certified in addiction which is also one of the highest credentials in the area of substance abuse in Florida (which required an additional 4,000 hrs of direct experience in addiction, 200 hrs of direct supervision, 350 hrs of specialized training/education, sit for and passed the Florida state board exam as well as the national board exam.). In addition to Mr. Anderson's impressive formal education and licensing, though outside of the scope of his professional practice, in the pursuit of even higher education, he pursued and received his Doctorate in philosophy in 2001. Mr. Anderson is considered a consummate professional and an innovator in the field of mental health. He is revered by his colleges and peers for his passion and dedication to those suffering with substance abuse and mental health.
